Twitter Announces Redesign
The site is making several changes to its design, to organize tweets better overall The social networking service Twitter is revamping its design, the San Francisco-based company announced Tuesday.
What’s new? :
"The new web profile lets you use a larger profile photo, customize your header, show off your best Tweets," Twitter said on its blog. Tweets will be better organized overall, the company said. Users will be able to see which of their tweets have engendered the most activity, because they will appear larger. Users will also be able to pin their best tweets to the top of the page. There will also be a variety of options for users when checking out other timelines. Twitter said that starting Tuesday the new features will be available to some users, while all users should be able to use them in the coming weeks.
Now tag your Twitter friends in photos:
Twitter users can now tag their friends in pictures. Long available on other social networks, the new service is part of an update of the Twitter app for iOS and Android that is now available.
Users can tag up to 10 friends in a picture and still have 140 characters to write a tweet, says the company. Anyone who doesn't want to be tagged can remove the label later or even block tags entirely. The update also allows users to include up to four pictures with a tweet. Previously, the limit had been one photo.
